Through finding a drawing practice I found myself interested in the way diptychs created new stories through implications found in composition and subject matter. I find myself beginning these works by working off of any image I have taken that interests me. I fully flesh out the image, then find another photo in my archive to find an image that relates to what I drew before. The conversation may start simply with how the image is composed, but it becomes much more once paired with the other. This practice has been fulfilling in technique as well as creating narratives I otherwise would never have thought of before.
